In the 2023-24 school year 100% of the children in Scotland County are being
offered free breakfast and lunch.  What happens when school is out?  The fun, the food, and the fellowship that our children enjoy are gone.  So the question is, "What do we do about that?"  The answer is the Scotland County Summer Meals Program!
This program is a beautiful display of the Power of Community.  When every person who can and will gets involved, together, we can make the difference.

Could you help us?
WE NEED YOU!!!
WHAT DO FEEDING SITES GET TO DO?

Activities such as Vacation Bible School, mentoring programs, sports, tutoring, and a host of other program can be a part of a feeding site.

The activities that can take place at a site are endless.  Each feeding site should ask, "What skill sets are available among our volunteers?  How can they benefit the children that come to our site:  What can we offer that will draw kids to us?"

Through the Kidz Canteen Summer Meals Program feeding sites are established throughout the county.  These sites offer nutritious food in a safe environment.  They provide innovative, "out-of-the-box" FUN activities and programming that attracts children.  Summer Meals is the place to be in the Summer!

What is in YOUR hand? What do YOU have to offer the children of our community?  What skill set do YOU have to help make summer an amazing time for our children?

Come and be a part of a program that will change your life!

Our kids are waiting for YOU!
WHAT ARE FEEDING SITES
REQUIRED TO DO?

All Feeding Sites:

1.  Distribute free, nutritious meals to children 18 years of age and younger.  These meals are delivered daily.  Some sites may serve Breakfast and Lunch.  Some sites serve Lunch only.

2.  Supervise the children while they eat their meal on site.

Your investment in a child's life is priceless.  Your smile, your enocuragement, your hug, your time, can literally change a child's life.
